Best chance of beating Floyd.

Lara, I think he is the only guy that would force Floyd to come forward simply because he doesn't have a come forward game, Lara would try to hit Floyd with 1-2 shots and run. It would be boring but I think that hardest fight for Floyd to win.Comment

So, Floyd is still being looked at like a God or TBE, ey? Smh. You Floyd fans are GAY, just like him. Castillo beat him and Manny beat him. If Maidana didn't gas down the stretch, he would've beat him as well. Floyd has fooled the boxing public for long enough. He's a great fighter but nowhere near the "greatest" I've ever seen before. He has FLAWS and that's why he avoids the best. The real question should be, when are the judges going to hold Floyd's style against him at the end of a 12 round fight. That's the real question. Manny was the best fighter he ever fought when they had something left, and he made Floyd look "ordinary". Get out of here with these Floyd is God like threads. He's already been defeated and father time had nothing to do with it. Smh.Comment

I don't see anyone at 147lb beating Mayweather, the skill differential is too much. Not happening.
At 154lb, I still don't see Floyd being defeated, but I believe Erislandy Lara and Gennady Golovkin have the best chance out of any fighters currently present to be at least within the realm of possibility.
The only way I'd genuinely consider him having a chance of losing is either a.) If he tried to add a Middleweight title at the full 160lb limit against a Golovkin or Cotto maybe, or b.) If he continues to fight into his 40's and his reactions decay.Comment

I think Cotto can if he gets past Alvarez. He and Maidana gave Floyd the best challenge.
Wildcard Cotto is almost an entirely different beast than pre-Roach Cotto.Comment

Father Time is the correct answer. I think Erislandy Lara would have the best chance of the non-fictional beings. I think age plus moving up to say 160 would open up more options for defeat, but I think at this point 147 is probably where he'll keep things from now. Unless of course Cotto opens up as a option for a 6th weight division title or somehow GGG or Ward gather more mainstream attention &/or fans that would give those fights more financial upside for Mayweather.Comment
