I can tell who has been watching cotto for a while and who has not by one simple statement, 'Cotto has bad stamina'. This is a myth, Cotto through out his entire career always closed out fights stronger then he began, Mosley,Judah, are just two examples. Cotto didn't have stamina issues until the night of the first Margaritto fight, and before that fight there were already murmurs that Cotto was struggling with making weight. Cotto looked fine towards the end of the clottey fight where two of the judges gave him the last 3 rounds. Even in the beating he took from Pac, Cotto made it to the 12th (granted some of that has to do with Pacs inability to cut off the ring). Cotto looked strong until the 11th round against Mayweather. After Roach took over Cottos camp, we found out that Cotto was pretty much starving himself when training, not eating right, which in hind site is actually pretty impressive that he performed at high levels under those conditions.
What we know about Nelo is by the second or 3rd round he is already breathing heavy, by 5th or 6th he is tired. If Nelo doesn't get to Cotto before Nelo's stamina goes then Cotto wins score cards or late stoppage. I will say this, I will not be surprised if Cotto knocked Nelo out before the 6th, because from what I've seen of Nelo's and his trainer/camps personality, I think Nelo will come in with the assumption that he can take Cottos power. If Cotto finds a home for the left to the body then it could be an early night, however that would be difficult though I wouldn't call Nelo a counter puncher, we know he does like to counter, and going to the body against some one who likes to counter with power is a dangerous proposition. I think Cotto's jab, movement and left hook will be too much for Nelo to overcome.
