Comments Thread For: Denis Lebedev Returns in November, Says Kornilov

WBA cruiserweight champion Denis Lebedev, who defeated his mandatory challenger Youri Kayembre Kalenga in April this year with a close but deserved unanimous decision, will reportedly fight next in November against an opponent to be named soon.

The news has come out of Vadim Kornilov, Lebedev’s manager in his brief talk with TASS media agency. Lebedev, who turns 36 on Aug. 14, should be a part of the show, promoted by the “World of Boxing”, according to Kornilov.

That really needs to happen before Huck makes the inevitable move to HW.

Better fight Shumenov in Russia because US judges seem to love him for whatever reason and all Shumenov would have to do is see the final bell to get the decision in Las Vegas

I agree. But I doubt Ward, or any top fighter is going to Moscow to fight a Russian. So if the best light heavyweight in the world. And a cruiserweight belt holder are gonna fight on the same card. Why not just fight each other?

It would be cool if Ryabinsky becomes Sergey's Co-promoter. Hope this event is successful, if they do have a co-promotion with ME. Sergey needs someone else besides Duva.
