I can't remember the last time Mayweather was not favored to win a fight. He's always had some sort of advantage going in, whether it was lack of ability in his opponents, or they were just not themselves anymore.

I forgot, how does that person go on to become great/legendary when he was expected to win?

Don't get that confused with people trying to come up with theories of HOW his opponent could win, vs actually betting your house on that opponent to win because you felt he had some miracle up his sleeve.
When you're the best its usually hard to find someone who has the odds in their favor against you.

        Mayweather never fought Rios.

Why not ask who has ducked as many big fights like Floyd but is rated as highly?
Joe Calzaghe and Sven Ottke get called out for it but apparently its not okay to call out Floyd for doing it, he is a cherry picker he picks styles which suit him, he hasn't fought a move in many, many years now.

The Pacquiao fight didn't happen. It was an inception.
