I acknowledge a religious reference because he's used Ramadan as an excuse before but only selectively.. the brook fight for instance, planned one week after the date he actually fought algieri.. and still 2 weeks out from Ramadan, and used that as the reason for no brook Wembley fight. that's a guy, regardless of his race, using his religion to justify stuff that doesn't make sense. he's also disrespectful even to his trainer, after algieri suggesting he got over trained.. smh

as for representing British boxers, ask anyone who is the biggest damn joke in boxing right now, and its khan... so that's good representation yeah? doesn't have anything to do with Floyd defending even, moreso that khan just has no place to discredit most fighters, let alone the guy he's chased for years while avoiding punchers... khan is 28, so who in khans resume beats mayweather, age and weight being equal to when khan fought them?

Khan would lose to Cotto at any weight division not just at 154, he would lose to Canelo, Manny Pacquaio, and Shane Mosley too if Amir gets caught with the punch that Floyd got hit with. This guy is just upset that he did not keep his trap shut so he is not getting the fight. Now he has to fight someone like Keith Thurman and lose horribly. This post will probably send a bad message to his camp. He is basically saying that Berto is cherry picked and not worthy. How can they work together.

British star Amir Khan (31-3, 19KOs) has brushed off reports on why Floyd Mayweather Jr. rejected him for a possible fight on September 12th at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas.

Mayweather's his team members have stated in interviews that Khan 'talked too much' and that cost him the opportunity. The frontrunner right now is Andre Berto, who shares the same trainer as Khan in Virgil Hunter. Khan is going to fight in the fall.

Do you feel the same way about Manny's resume? He fought Oscar at 147 after not making that weight after ten years. He fought Margarito at 150 who had to drain just to get down to meet Manny, he fought Cotto at 145 that is below the 147 pound division.

See the double standard here for people that know nothing about boxing is so ridiculous. It would be better if you say, I just hate this guy and am not a fan of his and stop with the ****** statistics because I am pretty sure you will not say any of the stats I just mentioned about Manny. Floyd is the best of this era, like it or not, his style is not as exciting if you do not like the pugilism, his personality is not always great. However, I can care less about personality or him as a person because he is not a friend of mine! I just want to see the guy punch someone over and over as I do with anyone else that gets in the ring. Everyone has their issues. Manny would gamble, drink and cheat on his wife. I do not give a ****. Just knock someone out and throw the 1000 punches you used to do before fighting Floyd. Do not downgrade the opponent after Floyd beats him. If the guy was good before fighting Floyd, then after Floyd beats him he cannot be washed up all of a sudden. That is the definition of hating! I see Manny as a great and hall of fame fighter as well as Floyd. That is just being honest but again I am a true fan of the sport.

I've been thinking about making a thread about this but I'm pretty sure some Floyd groupie will complain to a mod and it'll be deleted.

Let's deconstruct Floyd's resume here then instead:

Fought weight-drained, slow, sluggish 152 Canelo only after Trout showed the gameplan to beat him (and that was at the full 154!).

Fought a faded Pacquiao only after he'd been devastatingly KOd by Marquez.

Fought Maidana, only after he'd been destroyed by Khan and spanked by Alexander.

Fought Cotto, only after he'd been destroyed by Pacquiao and Margarcheato.

Fought Shane Mosley only when Mosley had been inactive for 1.5 years. Mosley should have at least had a tune up fight.

Dragged JMM up from 135 to 147! JMMs first fight at 147 against Mayweather, he was bound to lose and would have lost against much lesser opponents because he wasn't accustomed to the weight.

Fought Ricky Hatton only after he'd almost been knocked out by Collazo in a fight some thought he lost.

Fought De La Hoya when he was way, way past his prime.

I could go on. I've been telling you Floyd's record is a complete illusion. Now you can see why. He's the ultimate cherrypicker.

Wrong. I've said it before. De La Hoya was obviously weight-drained and shot against Manny, it goes without saying, it's like one of the most obvious examples of weight-draining ever, along with Dawson against Ward.

One key difference however is that Manny's record isn't full of question marks the same way Floyd's is. He has fought 9 undefeated fighters (with no established game plan to beat them) while Floyd has fought 3 undefeated fighters. And if you think Trout beat Canelo and Collazo beat Hatton then Floyd has only fought 1 undefeated fighter (Corrales).

The two don't compare. Floyd has been cherrypicking for about 95% of his career. Manny has cherrypicked for probably under 10%. Huge difference.

There isn't that many movers that will try to outbox floyd. That would be the ******est gameplan against him unless they are more skilled than him. There are no boxer from 140-154 that has floyd mental toughness to stick with their gameplan. Maybe maidana has because that dude give 0 ****s about anybody

Add the fact that the only elite movers around 147 is floyd and pacquaio. And floyd always have his freakish arm reach. Khan has ****ty footwork and has very predictable offense. He also has major mental lapse where he fights like a complete dumbass and ends up getting drop.

Marquez is a great counter puncher and was forced to lead against floyd.

Pacquaio has insane footwork and floyd forced him to be flatfooted by having better footwork.

Also I doubt lara has the mental toughness or ring iq to beat floyd. There is a reason why floyd schooled canelo while Lara fought a very close fight against canelo.
