Comments Thread For: Don King: Pacquiao Did Not Fight on May 2 as I Expected

Hall of Fame trainer Don King was surprised with Manny Pacquiao's performance against Floyd Mayweather Jr. on May 2nd at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas.

Pacquiao was labeled as the aggressor. He wasn't his usual self in the fight and saw himself get outpunched by Mayweather, who won a twelve round unanimous decision.

King says Mayweather had little to fear in the fight and Pacquiao unexpected lack of activity made the fight easier than anticipated for the unbeaten WBC/WBA welterweight champion.

Pacquiao fought Floyd to cash out and walk away knowing he had an injury on his shoulder that would not help him to win. Pacquiao put in the balance his reputation because wanted to make some money to payoff some debt but did not realized at a long term he would hurt his fan base and loose credit as the pound for pound king. Floyd better his record to 48-0 and became the #1 P4P. Enough said!!!!!!!

After Pacroid tasted that first straight right as he came rushing in (like he always does ) he knew it was pointless to try and win. Freddie Roach had told him Floyd couldn't punch and Pacroid found out otherwise and said to hell with this crap I'm not getting KTFO AGAIN. Fact is without the juice the Pacroid people use to see is gone. He'll never be the same fighter when he can't juice plain and simple.
