WBO junior middleweight champion Demetrius Andrade has slammed the hype that Miguel Cotto is receiving after recovering from back to back defeats to Floyd Mayweather Jr. and Austin Trout.

Cotto, now trained by Hall of Fame trainer Freddie Roach, is returning in November when he defends his world title against Saul "Canelo" Alvarez of Mexico.

Back in 2012, Cotto dropped decision losses to Mayweather and Trout. He then hired Roach and won three fights in a row, all by stoppage, over Delvin Rodriguez, Sergio Martinez and Daniel Geale.

Anyone claiming not to know who Andrade is just exposed themselves as a casual fight fan. Hell, I'd pick him to beat both Cotto and Canelo.

Here is the problem though. I'm a huge fan of Boo Boo, and even with the fear of someone four years from now reopening this thread to bash me, should Andrade lose to a string of cans, I'll say this outright. The kid is the truth in my eyes. No one is ****ing with this kid at 154 or 160, yes I said 160. The thing is, you have to prove it and he has fought once in 2 years since he won the belt. He walked away from Charlo, turned down Korobov for a middleweight strap and can't even seem to make a fight with Mundine. I mean wtf! At this point the kid needs to stfu and let his hands do the talking in the ring.

Andrade is telling the truth. Most boxing fans have selective amnesia. Becausr it fits the GGG agenda, everyone pretends Cotto is a beast. This is the same Cotto Floyd was criticized for moving up in weight to fight 3yrs ago. The same Cotto that was outclassed by Trout. In a fight that "proved" how "washed up" he was when Floyd beat him. But now all of a sudden, he's a defining fight for the new middleweight monster. FOH with that bull****.
