  • Comments Thread For: Showtime Plans To Pick Up Boxing Pace in Second Half

Stephen Espinoza, Executive Vice President and General Manager of Showtime Sports, advised BoxingScene.com that his network is going to pick up the pace in the second half of 2015 with several significant bouts being negotiated behind the scenes.

Showtime Championship Boxing has been light on the content in the first seven months of the year, but that is going to change as 2015 plays out.

Espinoza was unable to reveal the fights being discussed, but a big announcement is going to drop in the coming weeks.

Espinoza trying to talk his way into relevancy.

Even the Watson twins look down on him at this point.

Khan vs Thurman would be intriguing.
Broner vs Algieri in the undercards would complete the night.

        These guys are all available.

How this guy still has a job after Haymon robbed him blind for mismatches and then played him by taking all those fighters to other networks. PBC has made Showtime irrelevant. If they don't get Mayweather resigned they are screwed they got nobody under contract.

The first fight is the only one that would be attractive on a Showtime card. I doubt that Broner would fight Algieri although he said that he would return in October 3rd.

Broner should fight at 140 but his ego will prevent him from doing that.

I wish it was some type of weekly ShoBox event on Fridays to replace FNF. I've always liked the production, commentating and matchups.
