Mayweather vs GGG will barely crack a million.

May pac 2 might do more or less of what the Canelo fight did.

This can't be serious. GGG has a following that Hatton woulda been ashamed of & he's got 0 ppv sales in his lifetime. Mayweather & Pacquiao were just a part of the biggest ppv in the history of the sport & combined....**** idk I'd guess have 20M+ ppv buys between them.
How many PPV sales did Canelo have before he did 2.2 with Floyd?
GGG has no fan base? The guy has fought on both coasts selling out the stubhub last time he was out there and has the Mexican backing which drives sales.

And how many people were happy with the May 2nd fight? I've heard a lot of casuals say they would never buy the rematch if they fight again.
Just some food for thought. And I didn't put a poll up lol...

Also, no way Mayweather vs. Golovkin could do 3-4 million. Mayweather vs. Canelo only did 2,200,000, and that was with the whole of Mexico behind Canelo.
        good point

Floyd/GGG could be a bigger fight if GGG were to beat Lemieux and Cotto/Canelo back to back on ppv.

people on boxing message boards are deluded, nobody knows who GGG is. Maybe he has had a rep with the hard core fans for a while but the general public has never heard of him.

Pac can surely generate a few million sales because he has convinced them his first mayweather loss doesnt count because of this exaggerated injury story his team came up with sometime between after the in ring interviews and before the post fight press conference.

Even if Cotto/Canelo wasn't setting a precedent with this ****, you and I both know GGG would fight for his titles at 155 for that payday.

Idk, people were upset with the first may/pac fight so it's hard to gauge but I'd expect may/pac 2 to still do better than basically every other fight available. No way in hell it touches what it did the first time.

                This.

Manny cannot sell another PPV @ 100 bucks and GGG is unknown to casual fans so even that fight at 100 is very likely not going to sell any better.

The mega fight cost PPV the most, very few people will want to pony up PPV money this year after that fight. You can blame Floyd's style or Manny's possible injury but the price tag is likely the biggest problem. Had it been a standard PPV the backlash for each side may have been far less.

GGG vs. Mayweather would sell more. Many paying fans want to see Mayweather lose. If he fights GGG at 154 he will lose. Most fans know he will lose and I think Mayweather knows he will lose and that's why this fight will never happen. But if it did happen it would be a big seller.

I would buy Floyd/ggg instead of Floyd/pac 2, I prefer new fights over rematches too fights that were uneventful.
