I have really sat down and watched Carl, I have to finish up this weekend, but I am incredibly impressed. Hearn knows his goose is cooked, so he might as well cash Quigg out on this one.Comment

Not sure what kind of stadium you're talking about, but I have no idea of an Irish venue that would approach 21,000 seats for a fight in November; weather for an outside venue would in all likelihood be terrible.I'm sure the people of Ulster wouldn't mind travelling a little bit further into Rep.Ireland there is certainly a very big stadium over in Rep.Ireland, they likely don't need that capacity but IF the first fight is very good I'm certain we'd have people travelling over from England to see this one that and both sides of the Irish would likely go to it.
Pretty much a home fight in my opinion.
The rematch (win or lose) is probably ending up in a Northern Ireland/Ireland soccer stadium.Comment

Haymon being in Frampton's corner, in addition to Haymon bringing Showtime along for the US airing rights on the fight (PBC wanting to present a unified-style product across the entire group of channels, doesn't really afford for UK-driven presentation on the broader deal), will make sure of that.
60/40 to Frampton, with Matchroom basically driving the event and carrying the fight on Sky Box Office, is likely how things end up getting split; keep McGuigan from messing the egos up, though.Comment

60-40 Frampton for the first fight is fine; the questions arise when you're trying to negotiate the rest of the terms:
-Sky Box Office offers far more money to the pot for the fighters than ITV, Team Frampton's preferred fight
-There's seemingly no venue in Northern Ireland that Team Frampton can bring to the table that puts more money into the pot for a late fall fight than the MEN Arena
Beyond the issues for this first fight, a ton more emerge when presumptive talks about a rematch come up.
If Frampton wins the first fight, McGuigan is likely going to want to have a ton more say in how the terms are negotiated (Hearn and Haymon seem comfortably able to work through things to get to a final deal, but I see the personal animus between Hearn and McGuigan muddying things up, especially if McGuigan sees himself with having some leverage). Venue would most likely be in Northern Ireland/Ireland, but Team Frampton would likely push for the rematch to be on their broadcaster, ITV, in a ddition to likely wanting to take a larger share of the pot.
If Quigg wins the first fight, Hearn will likely push for a 50/50 split of the pot and maximizing the the pot for the rematch (soccer stadium in Northern Ireland/Ireland, fight on Sky Box Office, etc). Imagine if Hearn thinks the fight launched Quigg to a point that the fight is big enough for Old Trafford.
A lot more complicated than one could imagineComment
