Since we all know that these type of fantasy matchups are realistic to predict and are far more then just pure imagination, Golovkin would KO them all without a doubt. The only fighter who would last more then 6 rounds with Golovkin Pre-90s is Hagler.
I still don't know because he didn't step up in competition so far, his best win is Murray.
I don't think that from his fights so far I can assume that he would beat those guys you just listed.
For the record I think he loses to Toney, Hopkins and Roy, these ones are pretty obvious. He has more chance against McCallum, I don't know how much though...
I have to see more Kalambay to tell an opinion about that but I heard that at some point that guy outboxed everybody and not just B-C level fighters but elite competition.
James toney would have lit him up... Golovkin would look like a fool in there vs toney, worst matchup for ggg
Golovkin probably can beat nunn, mccellen, benn, eubankds..maybe not go undefeated but I see him going 2-2 or 3-1 vs those guys..
Roy and hopkins both beat GGG, but not in dominant fashion..
I agree except for the last line. Roy would have clowned him and young Hopkins would have shut him down as well. Golovkin wouldn't get through Haggler or Hearns either.
If Golovkin would face real challenges like Ward, we might be able to say differently but I think his management knows his limitations and keep him fighting weak opposition in a piss poor division. To date, I've seen nothing from Golovkin that says he bothers the top guys from the 80s and 90s.
