They have had some great champions. IMO Felix Verdejo has a huge upside but dude is just fighting street bums so far.

They have had some skilled fighters. But their heart doesn't compare to the skill. They are more known for skills than heart though.

I love watching great boxing and there has been plenty to come out of Puerto Rico. I think for Puerto Rico unlike all Latin countries boxing is more important than soccer so that's a big reason they have a high rate of boxers per capita. Puerto Rican soccer sucks but in Latin America it's great but Puerto Rico is not the end all be all for boxing in Latin America.

Were you a boxing fan back then? Some Ricans were comparing him to Tito n his power. Once he started losing is when they started to dislike him. Just like any othe fanbase does to their boxers.
