LOS ANGELES - Oscar De La Hoya's Golden Boy Promotions today announced that it has signed a three-year deal with Estrella TV, one of the fastest-growing Spanish-language television networks in the U.S., to broadcast two boxing cards live every month on its network across the country, including the popular new series LA FIGHT CLUB.

Estrella TV will air its first fight under the deal with Golden Boy Promotions on Friday, September 4. Additional fight cards and broadcast dates will be announced soon.

I guess this is good news but since I don't speak Spanish so watching these cards is a bit frustrating. Also the channel is not on my lineup. On the flip side boxing is the best darn reason yet anyone has given me to learn a second languagge at my age!

Hopefully they show meaningful fights because there fight night show is wack not even espn FNF level

Golden Boy is smart. With it's success in Fox Deportes, HBO Latino and now with this signing they are hammering the Mexican and Latino market. They are also signing up a ton of young latino prospects, especially the mexican and california based ones. This is just the latest vehicle to get them exposure. Because of that ground work when those fighters graduate to full time HBO or other networks for big fights they have an established fanbase.
