By all means show him respect if you want but lets have some perspective. He's never been a proper champion at either weight and his resume is poor. You can last as long as you want if you keep fighting bums.

Who? Smith? Paul Smith is a bum and Abraham took 24 rounds to deal with him properly. Wouldn't even let him wear his gloves

But let's be honest he's British. If he strung together a few wins you'd have him in your avatar. If he was British + 1/4 black you'd walk around with his face on your T-shirt.

I'm not saying he's good I'm just stating facts.

Paul Smith always has and always will be ****, no matter where he's from. I can recognise talent. As long as you're a white puncher who blasts out bums, that's enough to get your knickers wet seemingly.

Yeah OK he's British though. We know you'd be all decked out in Paul Smith regalia if he pulled out that decision. There is no room for argument.

It's like Pigeons denying he names any American fighter with a pulse GOAT.

Not in this sport. You act like he's the only one who fights bums, everyone does, some even lose to them, but not everyone keeps that shiny crown year after year. You're just annoyed that a non Brit is getting some credit.

A very disputed W. What about rest of his 52 fight career? 19 or so World title defenses?

If I'm not mistaken it was you who brought up Hopkins initially. Also you use the longevity argument to validate Abraham's career. To each his own, but it is not about the # of defenses, belts or how long you were in the game, but the names beaten, how many? and their quality i.e. resumes. The rest is just supplementary.

Which other modern boxer you want to take? Sven Ottke is relatively modern. Names beaten? Jurgen Brahmer is a current fighter as well.

Marquez fans crying about a close fight - what else is new?

I didn't bring up Hopkins, I merely replied, but who cares? The point stands erect.

You can nitpick any and everything. Longevity is simply one of the aspects of achievement.

My "regalia" is proof enough that I don't support all British fighters - a tired and one dimensional argument from a desperate man who has no actual response against anything I'm saying about Abraham .

Pulling out a decision over Abraham is not an amazing feat because Abraham isn't very good. We already saw what an actual good British fighter did to him. When he stops fighting bums, he'll get outclassed again.

Abraham is only 35. You act like he's ancient and been ruling the division for years. When the truth is he's just been very carefully managed over the last few years.

I'm just laughing at the amount of credit you're giving to a paper champion who lost badly to all the best fighters he fought and went back to hide in Germany defending a paper belt against **** opponents.

                      Abraham's claims to fame are

                      1) Taking Edison Miranda's 0
                      2) KOing Taylor a mere six months after Froch had KOd him

Damn near every live body he's fought has beat him or given him a hell of a test.

Bingo!!! He seems like a nice guy and a decent enough fighter but the fact that he's reigned as a world champion for so long is almost Lamont Peterson-esque. It's hilarious!
