Comments Thread For: Pascal May Have Interim-Fight Before Kovalev Rematch

Former champion Jean Pascal (30-3-1, 17KOs) is potentially going to have an interim-fight prior to facing WBO/WBA/IBF light heavyweight king Sergey Kovalev (28-0-1, 25KOs) for a second time, according to Pascal's manager Greg Leon.

Kovalev stopped Pascal in the eight round of an action filled fight back in March. The two fighters appeared on an HBO televised doubleheader on Saturday night from the Mandalay Bay in Las Vegas.

This rematch shows how thin the 175 division is. Kovalev will have to move to heavyweight soon.

Ward needs to grow a pair and come up to 175. Pascal lost that fight last night and did not earn a rematch.

So his only option is Ward, and that won't happen until next year.

After GGG does it first . We all know that is why he is still sticking around.

After his loss to Gonzales dont nobody cares. Even Kovalev figured out the logical thing was to fight the guy who actually won the fight.

Got the perfect opponent for Pascal's "interim fight": Yuienski Gonzalez.
