I wanted Ward to beat Golovkin first before going up to beat Kovalev. Getting both of those scalps would cement his place in history as an all-time great.

But GGG's team are obviously throwing up roadblocks in order to duck Andre. What can you do if the other guy doesn't want to fight you? Can't force K2 to put him in the ring.

Nah. Theres levels to this. Ward has been on the mediocre regional circuit and inactive.

Kovalev has been beating guys up and winning almost every round he has been in for same amount of time ward has been inactive and on his easy fights..

Kovalev would b e at ward up and stop inside of 10 rds. At that point it would be 7-2
In rounds for krusher. Styles make fights as well and this favors kovalev big time. Ward knows whats up. Its why he is avoiding 175

I.........don't know who would win this fight. I'd have to see how Andre looks at 175. Kova isn't just a power puncher. He can box with the best of them.

I think Kovalev's very exciting to watch. I actually like him a bit more then Ward for that reason but if they ever meet Ward will be to skilled for the krusher. It might be a boring fight to some but Ward schools him IMO.

i don't think you can beat KOvalev if you aren't able to hurt him as much as he can hurt you, and ward won't be able to hurt him.

After thst fight was when Hopkins started calling for a Kovalev fight. He figured he could employ mant of the same tactics. He was just too old, and Kovalev has a lil more to his game than Hopkins thought. Ward will rough Kovalev up on the inside. There will be clinches. There will be headbutts. And Kovalev will come unglued.

Lol I was thinking the same thing. His detractors are really reaching.

Ward won't fare any better against Kovalev than did either Agnew ("the black kid") or Hopkins. Sergey will dominate Ward anywhere the fight goes - both inside and out. Nothing I have seen Ward do against any previous opponent makes me think that he is Sergey's equal let alone his better. Sergey knocks Ward out after administering to him the beating of a lifetime.
