Verdejo has awful defense.

You guys say that about every prospect.

Young prospects can't hide behind there shoulder every fight like Floyd, or no one will watch them.

There young and want to establish themselves by impressing the crowd. So they take chances and get hit more often.

And Spence doesn't use his jab enough, fights too much on the inside, squares up too much, doesn't move his head enough, lacks elite speed, etc.

You can start picking at a number of these prospects...

Verdejo's not a complete fighter, but at 22, I'll wait and see more with him because he's shown some flashes...and Top Rank can probably hide more of his flaws with their match-making.

Spence, at 25, is farther along and I just don't see anything that's elite with him. I think once he starts taking on better opponents his limitations will become very evident.

Good choices! Cannot disagree with them at all. Joshua is going to be a force to be reckoned with in a very short time, if he is not already! A young heavyweight who can move and box and has incredible power. I love to watch his fights and cannot wait to really see him tested.

Before his last fight I thought the best prospect was Verdejo. Now I still might, but I'm not as certain. I didn't like the way he was winging shots and looking a bit wild against Najera. Maybe it was just nerves and him desperately wanting a KO, I don't know.

That was his first time on a major tv broadcast wasn't it? I think he was just trying to make a great impression and went a bit overboard. If he gets some proper guidance, I think he has a great future. If he is allowed to run wild and turn into a showboat like Harrison, he may end up the same way.
