If Oscar can put his top guys in big fights why can't Haymon?
He doesnt have many options on who his guys can fight. Its either put those fights on or not put any fights on at all that HBO would buy

You already know the answer. Oscar making big fights and tough fights. While Haymon is jer king the fans around with mismatches. Refuses to put his top fighters up against other top fighters from other promoters. If Oscar can work around the politics why can't Haymon? Hell even internal fights with no politics just fighters in his own camp he refuses. Instead his top fighters facing bums like Collazo. If you don't realize it's Haymon who is the stop gap on these fights not being made not other promoters or his own fighters then you just living in denial. Stevenson and Krusher was a done deal till Haymon got involved. If Haymon wanted to make these fights like Oscar does they would be made.

i'm going to think about going if the tickets and room rates are reasonable.

even though golovkin is the rightful challengeer to the MW belt, this fight is going to deliver. both guys can't do much else but put on a godo show if they try to win. cotto's going to try and box and punch, and so is canelo. canelo will come forward more often, and focus more on doing damage.

awesome fight on paper, in spite of the best MW on the planet not being involved.

Because Haymon's guys would be the B side and Haymon would not get a percentage of the A side purse. He would also have to allow his guys to fight away from PBC which he would never consider. He has a lot of fighters in his stable, but not many to get top quality fighter against top quality fighter without going outside of his stable. And he has very few title holders as well.

**** - finally there is a non-Floyd, non-Pac fight where regular people could probably secure a face value ticket and they choose the smallest venue available?

If no Tom and Mack Center, might as well do MSG.

Damn, hope this isn't true. If it was on Nov. 7th I could have made it to the fight but no way can I leave the family for Vegas that close to Thanksgiving.
Canelo by KO in the 10th.
