It has little effect on me because I will just stream the fight on the net from one of the many links I have. I just get pissed off at the cable providers here who try to strangle us for every damn cent they can get. I can understand for big fights that are local, such as any fight at the Bell Center being blacked out in Quebec. This is a normal thing with large sports events to ensure a decent crowd to see it live. But Pascal is not even the main event tonight and the fight is not in Canada which makes this total bull****.

Anyways, I've sent off a really nasty email to TMN/HBO about this and will see what they say.

LOL. They should charge by the round!

Consumers should hope that Mohammedi isn't unduly tough and warrior-like and that Kov won't carry him.

      Can't believe that. SMH.

Well I finally found it. It is available, in Montreal at least, in FRENCH ONLY PPV for $54.99!!! I cannot imagine a bigger rip-off than that.

Are the Stevenson ppv prices the same?

I wonder why so many fights get ppv over there, someone must be buying it?

I know UFC lost there tv deal, and ticket sales, and ppv for them have plummeted. But it seems like these Canadian boxers do extremely well there. Nice to see they support there own I guess.

The last Stevenson fight was an afternoon broadcast on CBS so it could not be made a PPV as there is no way to blackout an over the air broadcast station. I have no idea what previous PPV fights were going for as I will never pay for one and have no interest in checking the price.

Ticket sales for UFC events are always very good here in Quebec. What had a bad effect on them was the retirement of GSP. When he was fighting here for a UFC event, the Bell Center would sell out in minutes and all the bars were packed when his fights were on. Having a home town hero is very important for French Quebec fans and they are always well supported.

Same as before. Even on undercards. HBO Canada sucks.

Still not as bad as over here (UK) if you compare it annually.
