Nope, Mayweather promotions have to be the worst marketers in sport. They're coming off the dud of the century, with a weak-ass offering. The weaker the product = the more time+$ you need to market. If they wanted to make it a farewell deal, they should have promoted that very early on (end of may) ; do a Mayweather World tour with his pop star groupies (sneak Berto in there, fabricate some WWE type drama), now they've left it so late they won't even be able to go cross country.
It doesn't matter to Floyd though, because he got that $30m guarantee. So if it does 350k buys it's all good. Just the fans and Showtime who get screwed.Comment

And another thing, why are these idiots afraid of not being able to put commercials in between rounds as if the fight is going to end in the 5th round or something? Berto ain't that good but Floyd's brittle hands will prevent him from knocking Berto out.
Berto was taking vicious shots in the Guerrero fight and wouldnt go down.Comment

We're only 7 weeks away from the fight date, it's not happening. There's not enough time to market the fight, especially if it was on CBS. To make money on CBS they need to hype the fight in order to drive up the value of the commercial time.Comment

Floyd not knocking out anyone but they still need some type of guarantee though. Anything can happen in a fight. A cut can stop a fight at the mid way part of the event. Then what??And another thing, why are these idiots afraid of not being able to put commercials in between rounds as if the fight is going to end in the 5th round or something? I agree with you. But 700,000 buys times 75 dollars a ppv equals another 52 million dollars that can't be generated by fighting on cbs. So that's how team Mayweather sees it.
My thing is if you gonna fight ppv, fight somebody ppv worthy. And maximize your profits instead of fighting berto.
Mayweather vs Berto on cbs I'm all in.

Even the Floyd **** jockeys on this site wouldn't pay to watch him vs Berto on PPV...
Khan would be screaming from the rooftops if he was getting the fight so he's not...
I can't see this happening...Comment

There is no way they get 700,000 buys with a $75 dollar price tag. Floyd will get major backlash with a price tag like that on a fight that at one point was suppose to be on network TV. Mayweather promotions can't be that dumb to ask for $75 but then again Ellerbe is the CEO. Even a stacked card wont make it worth while. Because a stacked card means high profile fights like say (a Garcia-mattessye type) fight not just named fighters fighting scubs, fights that are legit HBO or showtime main event worthy. And there is no way they will get high profile fights on such short notice.I agree with you.
