Last time I checked mayweathers biggest threat was canelo and manny thus the high ppv numbers.but since he beat them both they were reduced to cherry picks.

Spence vs Berto is what should go down. . Floyd is TBE he needs to fight Lara/Bradley/Thurman/Khan... any of those is legit.

So now mayweather needs khan to be in the hall of fame.they just keep changing the opponent once Floyd beats them.

By your logic manny does not count because he has been knocked out before,but khan has been knocked out twice....you would just bring an a new opponent you say Floyd would have to face in order to be certified if Floyd beat him.

I honestly think people thought Floyd would never fight manny and so they could always say "well Floyd is not the best because he ducked manny" but now that he beat him people have gone into panic mode looking for another excuse to discredit him.

I agree to an extent. they shouldve fought in '09 or '10 - but, theyd didn't. and floyd beat him.
although, floyd is the master of fighting guys at the right time, Fights against Manny in '09 and Mosely in '06 wouldve been more competitive than the fights in '15 and '10 instead.
Plus, Floyd v Margarito in '06 wouldve been nice (instead of Baldomir or Sharba Mitchell)

Still don't think that Floyd fights in September.

6 weeks away and still no fight set. Even if they wanted to do this on CBS vs a scrub like Berto I would think they'd want more time in order to sell the advertising for max profit.

In the meantime I don't see how even the most hardcore of Mayweather fans can support the notion of Berto when Mayweather has so many willing high level WW's w/o any political roadblocks: Brook, Thurman, Spence and Porter. Even Khan, Ali, Peterson and Garcia would be a better fight than Berto. Berto was the butt of a joke for Victor Ortiz & Guerrero in getting their Mayweather fights. Would Showtime use the JSK/Berto fight to help promote Mayweather/Berto?
