Why is Mayweather the only champ that doesn't have to fight his mandatory challenger?

Because alphabet groups are corrupt as f#ck.
They bend & break rules for the cashcows in the boxing business since they get 3% of the purse of each fighter involved in a their alphabet title fights. The more a fighter is capable of making, the more that 3% fee will get a alphabet group paid therefore the more likely it is that a alphabet group will bend & break rules to insure they can get that maximum money from that 3%.
Guys that make 6 digit paydays max need to follow every rule. Guys capable of making 8 or in Mayweather's & Pacquiao's cases 9 digits can get away with much more more. Its been this way for a long time.
Ray Leonard, the Money Mayweather of his time raking in multiple million dollar fights, somehow was the first man to fight for two alphabet group weight division belts in one night. And more recently Floyd Mayweather became the 2nd to do so. The more money you make the more alphabet groups will allow you to do that others couldn't do. Its not a Mayweather thing its a money thing.Comment

This is true. If you look at mandatories as the opinion that a alphabet group considers this guy the best boxer in the weight division not holding a belt right now its clear alphabet groups are corrupt as f#ck or ******ed. I'd guess mandatories are the best non-title holder in the weight division less than 5% of the time or considered top ten guys by most independent ranking groups less than half the time. This is ****ty for boxing & boxers.Comment
