    Maidana vs Provodnikov

    Title says it all,

May not sound very probable but you would be surprised, it appears according to a friend who has links to the wild card gym that Provo is looking to return in the fall against Maidana if Chino can find his hunger to return at 147.

Obviously this isnt something to take seriously at the moment however its not unlikely seeing as though Maidana needs to return and Keith Thurman wont be wanting none, neither will Danny, Sadam Ali, or Bradley.

Chinos probable opponents are the likes of a always game Provo as he can do 147 with no issues having previously campaigned there or otherwise Chris Algieri or Donut Dan.

Helluva fight. Provo at 147 is a freakin' beast. He deserved the decision against Bradley IMO.

I love Maidana, but for some reason I don't have a lot of confidence in him. Does that make me a bad fan? It's just that whenever his name is brought up in these big fights, I have a hard time imagining him pulling it off. I would favor Thurman, Provodnikov, Khan (again), Porter etc. etc. all over Chino, even though I like Chino the most out of all of them, by far.

I worry for provos health. He makes it a full 12, but won't be the same fighter after

Scored it 114-113 Provo the first time I saw it. Much later rewatched it and had it 115-112 Bradley. The knockdown ruling was questionable but not an obviously bad call. Provo landed hard shots but got generally out boxed and out worked imo.

Also, this isn't a good fight for Provo. Maidana is much better than Rios.

I would give a slight edge to Maidana but Provo has an iron jaw and real power. It's almost an even fight and Maidana better watch his weight and train hard. These guys don't quit or back off. It's almost certain to be a war and a great fight.

Even though he's called out Maidana countless times and signed a contract to fight him before?

I've longed for this fight for ages. I hope to hell it comes off. Would be an epic war of epic proportions.

I agree, Thurman has definitely been vocal about wanting Chino.

Now I Don't think Provo is a good fight if you're questioning your passion for boxing. And tbh I'm not sure if Maidana is disciplined enough to box and move as he likes getting into a tear up and has shown vulnerability.

provo has better chances vs chino, i don't see maidana moving like lucas did. provo can hurt him to the body too. i will still go with chino, but is a tough one.
