Why not Ward vs Hopkins?

Hopkins expressed interest in fighting again.
Ward is undefeated. A win would be good for Hopkins legacy.
Ward needs a name opponent.
A win would put him back on track.
Also the fight could be made around 172 am sure.

No one in the world would want to see that. Hopkins just came off a decisive lose and Ward is try to come back from a large lay off proving he is still a P4P fighter.

Also it would be a very boring fight! For fun, I'll say Hopkins could win. He isn't a fighter to be toyed with or be seen as the less dirty/rugged fighter. He would probably make Ward show a lot of holes on his inside game. Hopkins by SD.

Hmm well everyone seems fixated on GGG as an opponent. That fight doesnt seem to be materializing. So who else is there? Dont see any speculation around here on potential opponents other than Kovalev/GGG.

the fight sucks, and hopkins doesn't deserve to walk into another bout with a top opponent after the showing against kovalev. ward has better options than that at 168 lbs

Hopkins probably doesn't want to fight Andre Ward because he remind's him of a younger version of himself in a way. I don't think its because he's black. Hop has fought black fighters before. Dawson, Pascal (Haitian/Canadian though) and Roy all in the last few years.
