Does Danny Garcia really not care about fighting Mayweather or is there more to it?

Recent article: Comments Thread For: Danny Garcia: Mayweather Won't Retire, I Won't Chase

I find it odd that he seems to be one of if not the only "crowned" Welter who isn't actively seeking a fight against TBE.

Do you think he truly just doesn't care about fighting him, or do you think there's more to it? Perhaps he's afraid of losing his "0" at the expense of a nice payday?

As for me personally, I would love for Danny to dispatch Paulie and then fight a legitimate Welter and dispose of him too. Then if Floyd is still in the game, they could make Garcia vs Floyd for Floyd's 50th and final fight. If Danny won, the crown would potentially be passed down to him which he would greatly benefit from. Haymon would have his first PBC star too.

I seriously hope Danny becomes more hungry for that fight after the Paulie fight because I don't want to see Floyd fight another Berto type for #50.

He's probably focused on stacking his resume. If the fight happens, it happens.

Maidana is a pretty good example. He didn't beg for the Floyd fight, he just handle his business in the ring and the fight went to him as a result.

Nah Maidana actually said that he would retire if he didn't get both Floyd fights.I think Danny is a guy that moves to the beat of his own drum and he also has a great deal of respect for Floyd not Broner fan girl level, but he shows up to a lot of Mayweather basketball events.

I like his attitude because everyone and their dog wants to fight TBE, they hawk themselves around like hoes especially Khan, Garcia has his own career path and it TBE is on the same path them great if not it would not define him.

Lacks ambition. As a young fighter he should be eager to test himself with the best. You don't have to go full ****** like khan but to show no interest at all? He doesn't sound confident in testing his skills with the best.

Danny "Swift" García does exactly as Al Haymon says, just like everyone else that is under the same umbrella. All these fighters can call out everyone, it still doesn't mean jack sht unless that's what Al thinks it's right.

Most of these fighters just call out nggas just to flex on the media, they know Al Haymon AKA God dictates their every move.

You shouldn't say "nigga" if you're really from where your location states.

Garcia's 30-0, only 27 years of age, is American-born Puerto Rican fighter from Philly who speaks English and Spanish, will have already headlined 7 shows coming the Malignaggi fight (5 in his budding new base in New York), is starting to really draw money, and is backed by arguably the top management company in the sport.

Health permitting, Danny's also got another 7-10 good years of boxing to his career, imo. Garcia is now in a position where, if he simply continues to handle his business, his fanbase will continue to grow and grow, one day maybe even delivering a Mayweather payday for a fight.
