I don't know how good of a fight it would be anyways. Lara didn't even step on the gas against Delvin Rodriguez ffs.

Lara is better sure but at least Lemieux has a belt however he got it in the division GGG wants to unify.

Dude this whole "GGG wanting to unify" has me feeling like I hopped in a time machine and I'm back in the 80s and 90s. Within the last decade, hardcore fight fans had progressed to the point where the ABC belts became pretty much irrelevant. The only titles that were respected were The Ring and lineal titles. And since Oscar bought Ring magazine and you had guys sitting on lineal titles, they had become less relevant. And now its like all of a sudden, since everybody's favorite flavor of the month is using the "I wanna unify" to avoid legitimate threats. Now all of a sudden a glorified club fighter like Lemieux, who's barely top 10 in a ****ty division is considered a real fight for a guy that's supposed to be elite. It completely blows my mind.

Sad thing is, GGG's team and fans are so afraid of him not looking like a monster, its completely skipped their minds that Lara is tailormade for GGG. Na scratch that. You couldn't Frankenstein patch together a more perfect opponent for GGG to look good. Forget the thought of Gennady losing. Lara is a smaller guy that catch punch, and there's ZERO chance he gets a decision. But there is a chance, although slight, that his style could make for an ugly fight and make Gennady appear human. And that's what scares the Good B1tch Nation to death.

So you want a small guy that can't punch and gets booed,(I was there btw).
I don't care though. You have a right to have a hard on for this fight.
I certainly don't think any fans of GGG or his team are particularly scared of
        Lara.

I don't "have a hard on" for this fight. Lara is simply better than the guy they're talking about GGG fighting. He's also better than anyone GGG has fought in his career. I'm just ready for the guy to step it up and justify some of this hype. Lara is a step in the right direction. Lemiuex is a parallel move, if not a backwards step.

BTW, the only opponent I "have a hard on" to see GGG fight is Ward. For multiple reasons. The biggest one being the devestation of what has become the most annoying fan base in boxing.

          • If Lara is moving to 160 this absolutely needs to happen but to expect GGG to move down for him you got to admit that is pretty dumb...
Lara is no joke but for me why come down to 154lbs when your opponent is bringing absolutely nothing to the table however for a guy like Cotto, Canelo or Floyd it makes sense because their huge fanbase.

I am ok with Ward-GGG too but I am ok with both guys fight where they feel best.
If Ward feels best at 68 and doesn't wanna budge, no problem with that.
If GGG feels best at 60 and doesn't wanna budge, same.

GGG seems to polarize people, that's for sure.
I really think the bs is really just marketing from both sides.

                    • Lara would make triple hype look human and thats what the groupies are afraid of. .Ward would skin that boy alive so you know the groupies dont want that. .triple hype is a protected fighter. . 33 years old, nonstop hype but Andre Berto has a better resume ..smh
