HBO wants the 21st as well:
If they accept the Wynn/Thomas & Mack deal the fight would take place Nov. 21, which is the date HBO and Cotto's side like best.

If this fight doesn't get made,I think we have to ask;Is Cotto having mental issues? Is Cotto still mentally competent?

They've made it this far this time I think the fight is gonna be a go...plus Oscar needs any big fights he can make right now & this is one of the biggest if not the biggest fight to make right now. Oscar will get this fight rolling whatever needs to happen to get it there. Personally I'd prefer it happening in MSG. Bunch of fights happen in Vegas. Vegas is the more neutral venue, but I see Cotto as a big dog here so let him have it in NY to give w/e lil edge home court can give you in boxing in this big a fight.

So Cotto wants to call all the shots and have the fight as late as possible? Who could have seen that coming? Oh yeah, everyone. Cotto is one of my favorite fighters in the ring, and as a person...but f*** is he a pain in the nuts when it comes to negotiations. And I'm not the kind of fan that thinks that's a good thing. That's just being a diva and a sissy. Love both of these fighters, but I'm going for Canelo.
