  • Comments Thread For: Hobson Feels Fury Can Pull Off The Upset of Klitschko

Tyson Fury’s unpredictability could be the key that unlocks the door to to him becoming heavyweight champion of the world, that’s the view of top UK promoter and manager Dennis Hobson.

In his regular newspaper column, Hobson - who has guided a number of fighters to world title glory - says that current WBO, IBF, IBO and WBA king Wladmir Klitschko will be facing an unorthodox, but 'win at all costs', foe when he steps into the ring on October 24 against Fury, and that the Manchester fighter has a real chance of ending Klitschko’s long reign.

If Fury is able to get on the inside of Wlads straight punches and the ref allows for inside fighting, Fury has a chance to win via late KO.

    Wlad is 2/7 to win

    Fury is 7/2 to win

When was the last time the bookies had a Wlad fight this close?

Has to be the Haye fight, surely.

Pretty sure some British bookies had Haye as the favourite.

Hands down, chin up, big overhand right straight on the button. Cunningham's punch would have dropped 99% of heavyweights in those circumstances.

Fury has the heart, stamina and punch output to do this. Fury is going to make life very uncomfortable for Wlad.

That's what came to my mind too. I wasn't ******** on boxing back then. I would have won a stack if I was. . .

He says he has a great chance......I'd say he has a great opportunity.......but not much of a chance. He may have some success at times and I think he'll come away from it making a good account of himself and will become a hero overnight in the UK.
After 2 knockdowns, one early and one mid rounds, fury will finish strongly shaking vlad at times and meeting him in the middle of the ring and pushing him back, but lose on points by combination of the two 10-8 rounders and terribly biased german scoring..........that's how I realistically see this fight panning out........I hope I'm wrong and fury gets the win.....so.still.....i'm supporting the fellow Brit in this fight for the upset.
              War Fury!!!!

And there'll be some massive gypsy pounds gambled on that night Fo sho. lol

I've always thought that Fury's unpredictability could play a major role in this fight.

Wlad's likes to be in control and has a tendency to panic if his opponents take him by surprise.

If Fury can stick around, I think we could see that happen.

I don't give a tinker's damn for Tyson Fury as he doesn't belong in the ring with Wlad much less be considered a threat to him.
