Comments Thread For: A. Garcia: Peterson Was on Some ****, Danny Still Won!

Angel Garcia, father and trainer for former WBC/WBA 140-pound champion Danny Garcia, made some controversial comments to media members during his son's recent open workout.

In his last fight on April 11th, Danny (30-0, 17KOs) struggled to win a twelve round majority decision over Lamont Peterson at Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York.

There were some who felt Peterson did enough to get the decision. Garcia is back next Saturday night, at the same Brooklyn venue, when he moved up in weight to 147-pounds to face former two division world champion Paulie Malignaggi in the Premier Boxing Champions main event on ESPN.

    Prove it.

Just cause he was better conditioned it doesn't mean he was on something. And no, Danny didnt win. So, just cause Peterson won it doesn't mean he was on something either.

Btw Peterson said rematch at 147 if you want. So don't run from that rematch like you've done with the others.

Like it or not, PEDerson will always be open to these accusations after testing positive.

Was he the better fighter than Garcia that night? Without question. Did he win? Arguable. I scored it for Garcia, and Peterson has no one to blame but himself for starting so slow.

Peterson had T-pellets inserted around his armpit and failed to notify that when he was going to fight Khan on the rematch. Suspect if you ask me, too bad because he has improved as a fighter and will always have that cloud on top of him
