This is the whole deal right here, GGG has the leverage over Ward when he didn't with Froch and Chavez but Ward thinks he is some type of superstar. Name me one time where Ward actually sacrificed anything to make a fight happen. I'll do it for you guys, he's never sacrificed one single time.

Golovkin is arguably the most exciting thing going in boxing right now. That said, be a professional and take the fight @168. He can always go bk to Middle if it doesn't work out and still be a wrecking machine..

If only it were that simple. He's in his 30's now. Moving up in weight and moving back down isn't always easy at this time Ina fighters career

Golovkin will fight hopefully Lemieux in October, then his next fight if isn't vs Canelo, then some random easy fight during January, and then hopefully Canelo in May.

That's of course assuming ODLH doesn't act like a little *****. Only after these fights could I ever see GGG vs Ward happening. This means late 2016/early 2017 is the only time this fight could even be thought about happening, at the earliest.

Not a problem! No true GGG fan gives a crap what Ward does. Stay at 168, move up and fight Kovalev, meet GGG in the middle for a non-title fight, whatever he wants to do is fine. Let Golovkin go on his way with his goal of unifying the middleweight division and once that has been accomplished, he can then move up to 168 PERMANENTLY and if Ward is still around, they can fight for the SMW title.

In the meantime, Ward can go back to being a commentator on HBO and fight overweight, out of shape bums on BET time buys in his spare time. Who really cares? It's not like Ward has been relevant for the past three years or so.

How about Lemmy in October with Lee/Saunders winner in January, say in Monaco for the European fans and his yearly invite to that principality, ending with Canelo to unify all the titles in May? Cotto can fight Andrade on the May undercard for the 154 title.
