Don`t mention it, and In this site there is much ignorance and animosity against the Mexican boxing, but it's pure unreal ****.
Historically:
Mexican Boxing = Skill, Much Aggressiveness, Combinations, Body Shots(masters of hooks to the body), Power, Heart and Stamina.
Results: + 180 champions of the world. And with U.S.A, the more numerous fighters in the hall of fame.
Look this mexican kid(one of the hottest prospects of the Mexican Boxing), just another brawler with iron chin????:
??????
& the hate comes from the $ Mexican boxing generates. Mexicans are great & loyal fans, hence why these Euros are trying to tap into our market but what people don't realize is that's all their trying to do. It's be a sentiment towards Mexicans if they said they fight with the Heart & skill of a Mexican but they use the term Mexican style as a brawling term like all Mexicans do is fight toe to toe like in a Tijuana bar fight. Also I bet these eastern Euros don't even know any of the Mexican legends you named all they know is the term Mexican style...Comment

Brawler is not a four letter word. Who would the ballerina fight otherwise? Another foot fighter? That puts me to sleep. A brawler can be just as cunning and more dedicated than Mr. slick. His feet still have to get him there, his speed is still a factor. Where is the lack of skill? A brawler can shake a chance out of a lost cause and bring a fight to his level. The bull is not necessarily dumb, and in boxing the brawlers win a lot.Comment

Sounds like you are mad because fighters of Mexican descent are the most respected fighters in the world and without Mexicans boxing dies plain and simple. Kellerman said they are the ones that have kept boxing alive and I'm not even Mexican, I'm Peruvian but I grew up with them and I love the culture, the food, the women and they get down y toda la madre.Comment

Reading some posts the brothers are mad as hell nobody saying African American style. Well you cant exactly blame ggg and kovalev. The dominant/popular black boxers out there are Hopkins mayweather, ward and broner, yet their style isn't exactly fan friendly or aggressive. But its funny seeing how offended they get. Its obvious they're just trying to get the fan base. Even though I think kovalev already has a good enough fan base in which everyone acknowledges him as the best LHWComment

WBA/WBO/IBF light heavyweight champion Sergey Kovalev (27-0-1 24 KOs) is days away from facing his IBF mandatory challenger Nadjib Mohammedi (37-3). The HBO televised fight takes place at the Mandalay Bay Events Center in Las Vegas, Nevada.
The hard hitting Russian is a crowd favorite who has been compared with fellow heavy hitter Gennady "Triple G" Golovkin. Triple G has recently adopted the slogan "Mexican Style" and has become a huge draw in Southern California.

This is the fight most AA's face but then get told by most that their struggle does not exist.
Anyhow, if anyone wants to play ignorant and act like they don't know what traditional African American style of boxing looks like, take a look at the following fighters:
Floyd Mayweather, SweetPea, Andre Ward, Roy Jones, James Toney, Muhammed Ali, Sugar Ray Leonard, etc...
Of course not all African Americans have the speed, reflexes and IQ level to pull this style up, so I don't want to hear any idiot wise guys throwing Shawn Porter and Mike Tyson at me.
The motto for African American style boxing is HIT and NOT BE HIT.
Only the elite can pull it off (i.e TBE, SOG, RJJ, PEA, etc...).
Amir Imam seems to be on his way as well.
