It was fate that they would feed Cotto to Canelo. Cotto is smart though, he's been dodging the fight for 2-years.

Dodging the fight for two years hu? Canelo is a very good young fighter who was hugely outclassed against Mayweather and it will be similar vs Cotto. Canelo is as much a diva as Cotto, Mayweather and possibly (I leave everything in God's hands) Pacquiao. At this level these guys have all earned the right to demand the highest paycheck they want and all the other crap that comes with being on top. The only reason this fight has taken several years to make is because it's a huge fight and Cotto didn't want Arum's hands any where near it.

That's an easy call. People were excited after Cotto's last win, but then the emotion subsides and reality starts to set in. Cotto's recent successes were due to his inferior competition more so than his improved skill set under Freddie Roach.

Cotto, for his part, realized that he had to KO a few fading journeymen to beef up his resume to fincially maximize his return on investment for this fight. And that's why he's waited until now to take it. No doubt, he'll definitely make more money now. After he get's pummeled, I see Cotto retiring. I think he's done.

Cotto's contract with Bob Arum ended in February of 2011. Bob Arum did not have anything to do with Cotto's refusal up to this point to fight Canelo. Please see my previous post for further explanation on this subject.

Who's mad at GGG for making the wrong pick? The only reason he wants Canelo to win is because if Cotto wins it's basically a gurantee he gets Floyd in a rematch for the title. If you think the WBC is going to strip Cotto and pass up on that payday to give the title to GGG ya'll nigg*s trippin'

That's the only reason GGG is saying this. Hell, Canelo might even get fight number 50 with Floyd if he were to beat Cotto. It'd be another schooling, but it would sell more than Floyd/GGG or Canelo/GGG these are facts.

All of this doesn't even matter anyway, Canelo is not getting past Cotto. Cotto will get hit more than Floyd did, yes. But Canelo is going to be hit nearly the same with A LOT more power. I'm taking Cotto on points but I've done that his past 2 fights in a row and he won by KO both times. I'm a big fan and he is even exceeding my expectations.

If I remember correctly Cotto has stated that after the Canelo fight if GGG is available he is available too.

The thing is that Golovkin will have no reason to fight a Cotto who has been soundly beaten by Canelo in his last fight. And no one would really have any reason to want to watch that fight either. Besides, without a title how would Cotto try to convince GGG to drop down to 154.5 catchweight to fight him?

Canelo getting hit has never been a problem. He's been stunned once, never been dropped. I welcome Cotto to come with his power. We'll see who has the power.

Cotto better dance and move. That is his best chance, as it has been with all of Canelos foes, thus far.
