After Floyd Mayweather Jr. (48-0, 26KOs) unified the WBO/WBC/WBA welterweight titles with a twelve round unanimous decision over Manny Pacquiao on May 2nd - British star Amir Khan appeared to be the frontrunner to face Mayweather on September 12th at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas

In the last few days, former IBF/WBC welterweight champion Andre Berto is being widely reported as the frontrunner to face Mayweather in a fight potentially taking place on CBS.

That should be a lesson learned; stay off your hands and knees when asking for a Mayweather fight.

So in a sport where the objective is do do physical harm to your opponent, one fighter gets offended by the other calling him out publicly and "talking too much"

When Floyd fought Marquez.... "he called ME out!"

When Hatton talked smack about Floyd and his boring fights ..."Make the f'ing fight!"

what a joke. how can you defend a berto fight????????????? i'm not a fan of khan but berto is the worst.

is floyd that insecure and a diva??? so you can't call him out if you want a fight?? i guess that's why a prime margarito never got a fight, why a prime martinez never got a fight, prime pacquiao never got a fight, and the list goes on and on hahahahaha.

TRUTH IS floyd doesn't fight any tough fighters in their prime. he's a complete fraud coward.

I'm happy about that too. Khan has been begging while fighting soft touches and doing nothing to earn the fight. Props to Floyd for giving the opportunity to much more deserving fighters.

It's great that Khan isn't getting the fight (if he doesn't)

It's even greater than his stable mate is

Let's be honest after Khan shamelessly ducked Brook he doesn't deserve the Floyd fight anyway.
