Comments Thread For: Maidana's Manager Would Llike Rematch With Amir Khan

Sebastian Contoursi, manager of Marcos Maidana (35-5, 31KOs), would like to get his fighter a rematch with Amir Khan (31-3, 19KOs).

They first met in December of 2010. Maidana was dropped very hard in the first round from hook to the body. He recovered and got himself back in the fight. He lost a point for throwing an elbow in the fifth round and had Khan in serious trouble in the late rounds. Khan was able to survive and won a twelve round unanimous decision.

    Fat chance.

Khan's never stepping into the ring with Maidana again, ever.

They should get down to welterweight and into fighting shape before thinking of any fights cause who's to say he can even make the weight still.

          maidana is tough fellah, period.
in terms of whats earned or deserved, hes earned a rematch with the bum.
yknow its funny, i dont hear anyone saying fmj picks his opponents when he chose to fight maidana again...he chose him because he offers a fight!
whats king khunt gonna do? IF the bum got a lucky boy chance at the king of boxing? she would get a lot of money. thats what she wants...the money without having to earn it first. besides, you would think that king khunt would want to upstage fmj by doing a fight with maidana again and then i would say if he beats maidana....easier than fmj....hes earned it. but, we all know she wont. total bum and loser.

if chino had 20% better head movement i would not only be comfortable picking him by ko, but i'd also be comfortable picking him on points without any knockdowns in the fight..thats how bad khan is with pressure..ref has to call the fight right if chino is coming in with low blows and shots behind the head khan should be able to hold..if chino is coming in with clean work deduct points for holding..thats how i see..cant allow one mans foul and not the next mans..i'd rather be held than punched in illegal spots

Maidana is just sitting around doing nothing. He needs to get another big fight and put on a good show which is what he almost always does.

I bet Sebastian hasn't seen Maidana for a long time. Maidana can't make 147lbs even if he cuts his legs off. The man lives in McDonalds ever since Mayweather paid him he can't stop eating
