I would have to say Yes... The only thing I would say would be difficult, is the fact Kovalev isn't very quick and he would with out a doubt be much slower and wouldn't carry the huge power over to Cruiserweight.

I think he could, he hits hard enough and is more skilled. Huck is active though and has a never say die attitude.

there are only 7 lbs between smw and lhw, but 25 lbs between lhw and cw. it must be the hardest leap to make in boxing, except maybe cw to hw

Huck ate bombs from Povetkin like nothing, and Povetkin hits HARD

He'd have to win a decision, which is possible. But Huck's spurts of brawling, especially given his size, would probably beat him

More to the point I think Kovalev could get a decision over Huck. Size is one thing but Kovalev is a great Boxer and Huck is slightly limited so unless he KO's him can't see Huck winning.
