Comments Thread For: Donaire's Coach: We'll Knock Scott Quigg Out in Six

NONITO “The Filipino Flash” Donaire continued his journey to redemption with a smashing second-round technical knockout of former European bantamweight champion Anthony Settoul, whom he dropped three times en route to a defining victory that is destined to set-up a mouth-watering showdown with World Boxing Association champion Scott Quigg of Britain.

The British champion, on the other hand, mauled former world champion Kiko Martinez in similar fashion to win by a second-round TKO.

With the win, Donaire’s father and trainer Dodong Donaire is now looking ahead at a possible title fight by his son against Quigg.

Donaire now has become a mature boxer. He knows how to defend himself unlike before that he is so confident and keep on attacking opponents. I think he can dominate the fight versus Scott Quigg.

He didn't change for the Rigo fight, he didn't change for the Vic fight and he didn't change for the Walters fight. Now all of the sudden he's matured? Did you get that from the cans he's fought?

The irony of team Donaire talking about knocking someone out in the six round

Yeah sure he's "mature" when fighting cans. Let's see him do that against a live opponent.

Donaire is a one trick pony, but that one trick is pretty good and will likely work against Quigg. I'll be rooting for Quigg, though.

Thats cool but that wasn't my argument whatsoever. Come back and try again.
