He put him in with Provodnikov when technically there was no need to, I don't think they play the protection game with Matthysse, albeit there are probably bigger fights out there than Imam.

Yeah, Imam hasn't beaten a top 10 fighter at the weight yet. I think it's a bit early to predict he beats the #1 (or #2) at this stage.

You dudes are getting a little too excited for Imam. I mean he's pretty decent but you dudes are making him out to be into something he isn't yet. Has potential but he could get his ass knocked out against someone that knows what he's doing in the ring.

Imam is the best thing going in boxing right now. Love his professionalism and dedication to the craft. I haven't seen Postol fight yet, but if Imam faces and is an underdog versus Matthysse I'm betting him heavy.

He still needs to more rounds and polishing, but looks like the kid has got the goods to give anyone problems. His ceiling is pretty damn high. He must work more on his defense and head movement though, Angulo was catching him with some loopy ish he shouldn't been hit with.

On another note, am I the only one that tjinks he resembles the middleweight John Jackson a lot? I swear they look like brothers haha

Imam is my favorite prospect, and Mathysse is one of my favorite fighters, but I think Imam would make a bad stylistic match up against Mathysse. I agree that the jury is still out until he starts beating good opposition, but his power is 100% real and his size and range would trouble the smaller Mathysse. I haven't seen Mathysse fight someone as tall as Imam, but I guess we will find out how he deals with that when he fights Postol.

I missed the fight, and honestly thought it was Alfredo Angulo, then I checked it was not and SMH.

John Molina Jr is 5'10 1/2, same height as Imam. That being said, he did have some problems with him. My question is really how well Imam takes a shot from an elite power puncher.
