In 2009 Mauricio Herrera defeated Ruslan Provodnikov in Las Vegas in a bout that aired on ESPN Friday Night Fights. Herrera's victory over Provodnikov was a narrow points win and after his technical decision victory over Hank Lundy this past Saturday, Herrera said he wouldn't mind facing the Russian again.

When Provodnikov heard of this news, he said he has no problem facing Herrera but would prefer rematches against Lucas Matthysse or Tim Bradley first.

The fighter known as Siberian Rocky hurt Bradley several times in their 2013 Fight of the Year. Provodnikov dropped Bradley in the first round and the American was on shaky legs when he rose to his feet. His knees buckled and there were other questionable slips in the round that could have been ruled knockdowns.

I'm surprised we haven't gotten Bradley/Provodnikov II by now. The rematch would do very well since the first fight was so good. Ruslan needs to get back in the win column and maybe they'll do it again.

From my understanding, when a fighter is knocked down, makes it to their feet only to fall back down, ive always thought that was an immediate stoppage? The Bradley-Provo outcome was in the refs hands i gotta admit. "Officially", Bradley won that fight. Im of the mind that if the ref doesnt officially rule it, the judges shouldnt officially score it. But if the ref wouldve ruled that KD, that wouldve been a 2pt swing declaring Provo the winner.

Bradley won the first 11 rounds and I would have given Vargas a 10-8 round in the 12th...

So need for a rematch at all... rematch will be exactly the same except Bradley would box even more and make it even easier for himself..,
