Respect to GGG I won't try to bash him because I know his English is not great but the ending was confusing. He say 164 for Ward but then say he would go up to 164 or 168 for big fight
164 is not happening, I don't even need a response from Ward know that. I say wait for him at 168 and force his hand. GGG doesn't have many if any options at 160 so how long can he really stay at 160? After he gets the winner of Canelo vs Cotto and if he beats one of them, then what else is next at 160? Ward doesn't have anything currently at 168 either especially with DeGale signing with Haymon but Ward don't have the pressure on him like GGG does either. Fans want to see GGG vs The Best, we already seen Ward vs The Best so he is proven so he can afford to Wait for GGG and just take on Mandatory's
As for responding publicly, Ward made it clear after his last fight he is no longer doing that. Why do that when David Itskowitch can get on the phone with the Promoters like he has done with Duva twice now and see what it will take to make those fights happen.Comment

The original comment was made by Loeffler in response to a question asked by Dan Rafael during an email conversation. Fat Dan asked what it would take to get the fight made and Loeffler gave that as a response. All discussion of this subject stems from that original conversation. There was no offer made to Ward or his camp, no discussions with Ward and this has absolutely nothing to do with Ward and was not an offer in any way shape or form.
The video in this thread was shot after the original exchange with Fat Dan. The entire sequence of events is outlined in today's 'Dougie's mailbag' on the RING web site.
I did ask Loeffler about the supposed catch-weight “offer” to Team Ward. He told me there was no offer. Loeffler said he had an email conversation with Dan Rafael, who asked him what it would take to make a GGG-Ward match, and he proposed the 164-pound catchweight and 50-50 money split as a possibility – but doing so knowing full well that Ward is going to go through another tuneup in the fall. It’s not something Loeffler has discussed seriously with Roc Nation, or even his own client, GGG. So knowing this I wasn’t going to spend a lot of time grilling Golovkin over the catchweight stipulation for Ward.Comment

Yes, in my opinion even a statement saying "sure but no catchweight" would be good for his case. Much how Lomachenko told Rigo no catchweight and bam now that fight is probably going down.Comment
