People really do only read the headlines here. He's obviously rejecting the idea of a Hopkins fight.

I know, right? Its actually kind of surprising the number of people here who are too ****** to see when someone is just being polite.

      Blinded by hate, I guess......

100% agree, him and abel should let ggg do the talking, GGGs broken english is better for his career than all the BS coming out of those 2...

You gotta read between the lines on this one.

            Translation:
"We're not going to waste the few years Gennady has left with the utter Lose/Lose scenario that a Hopkins fight represents."

Whatever the outcome, Golovkin gets shít on.

Whatever the outcome, B-Hop gets a ton of respect.

Oscar and Bernard are left with two assets only: Canelo and Lucas...
Both Oscar and B-Hop were ready to defend Canelo by putting their own heads under the sword... Now GGG is 'ducking' them both, right?

He rejects a fight with everyone unless is essentially the 3 biggest money fights in boxing. Look at all the **** Khan is getting for not fighting Kell, for some reason... GGG is supposed to play the "woe is me" card for eternity? This guy and his team are a joke at this point, FFFS. If you mention anyone you've heard of, it's a NO, no matter the name.

GGG is literally all about a money fight, or the easiest sure fire way to victory if he doesn't get those fights. Keep making excuses for his soft touches, right now he's falling into hype job status more and more. I've never seen a team be so scared about who their guy fights... well except for Al Haymons stable. That's all GGG really is at this point, a PBC soft as hell competition fighter but he just happens to be on HBO.

To be fair to GGG, these guys are alot bigger than him. Aswell as highly skilled. So ofcourse he expects the reward to slightly match the risk.

NVM: Just checked the middleweights, he needs a real fight right now, Old man Bhop at 168 would be an excellent fight. But then Ward will expect him to meet at the full 68, so I'd say concentrate on getting Ward first, make it happen at 166, fight Bhop at 168.

Whats there to read in the article that the headline doesnt already say? He's not COMPLETELY rejecting the idea of fighting BHop. And on top of all, he hit us with the "our focus is to unify 160" classic bs. If that's the case then why are they calling for Ward and Froch? My guess is that he's trying to backtrack so that peoole forget the whole catchweight thing.

And yet people will still defend him.
