Did I say rehydration? I said catchweight. And the rehydration was only pulled like a day before the fight so Porter still had to think and worry about that all training camp. Fact is the catweights were purely in there to slant the deck in Broner and Chavez favor which is babying to me since Broner has already fought at 147 and Chavez walks around about 200lbs between fights. Most of the PBC fights have been heavily slanted towards the bigger name fighter. Putting up two examples where that was still the case Broner and Chavez but the hype job lose is not some great evidence that Haymon is not babying his fighters. Thurman just fought Collazo and Wilder is about to fight his second consecutive bum since winning the title. Khan just fought Algeri.

Fonfara wasnt the mistake, the mistake was Chavez Jr squeezing down to weights he didnt belong in and dragging up guys from smaller divisions. At 168-172, he shouldve been fightn SMWs and LHWs...NOT MWs. In other words, he shouldve been facing guys fron the division he was fightn in, he wouldve been more prepared for Fonfara.

And there doing it again, fightn a MW at SMW. Handicapping Chavez.

Not true just because Chavez and Broner lost means more about them not being very good then them not being protected. A catchweight was put in for both fights to give Chavez and Broner an advantage by trying to drain both their opponents. And both Chavez and Broner went into the fights as favorites. And neither Porter or Fonfara were considered the best in their weight class and both were coming off of recent losses that potential vulnerability is the only reason they got their fights. Maybe Broner and Chavez are just hype jobs and not very good and when they stepped up to decent competition they got exposed. But Haymon put both in position to win by not putting either guys against better fighters in the division and having the catchweight in their favor. Don't try to spin this as a positive for Haymon when it's really just a negative on the fighters not being very good.

Now I seen it all Haymon defenders trying to give him a pat on the back even when his top fighters get upset and lose SMH

kinda reaching are we? Algieri was brought in to make khan look good...even that back fired. Haymon is putn on ****fights, man. I can kinda give him a pass bcuz PBCs only been around 4 months...but he CAN put on better fights. Thats my gripe.

It was bad matchmaking but a lot of that is because of Chavez and the fact that he hadn't faced a decent opponent since 2012 when he fought Martinez and can no longer squeeze himself down to 160. After that you had two long layoffs one because a failed drug test and another because he backed out the GGG fight and was beefing with his promoter. Sandwiched in there two fights against that bum Vera who got robbed in the first fight. You can put him in the ring with another bum now because he's coming off a loss. But you can't go from passing on GGG to fighting a no named guy. So they had to get a quality opponent. Problem is the weight which falls on chavez. They didn't think he could make 168. And we see now when he fights a guy his own size he gets murdered.

His only success was at 160 where he fought guys with a 20lb advantage but now he can't make 160 anymore. Maybe they could of gotten a lesser fighter at 172 to fight him but eventually this was always going to happen when he started fighting decent guys his own size. Chavez is just not very talented and clearly doesn't have much heart or the work ethic to beat fighters without the deck totally being stacked in his favor (cherry picked middleweights for a natural light heavyweight).

ACTUALLY, the rehydration clause was pulled because BRONER was not gonna come in on weight and rehydrate too much. It was put in there to strap Porter, but because Broner is such a classless loser, he spent the week of his fight partying and not training.

And he gets love from Haymon more than most PBC fighters.

u're very ****** to blame that on al haymon alone..if a fighter ask for a cw the other fighter has to agree..fonfara and porter were not shafted they agreed to them..dont poop on wilder for the hw division being pretty bad..and thurman i can say might be waiting for a floyd shot..pick the fights that any other brand is doing and compare and u'll see that you are just hating and askin for way too much..ali didnt fight liston frazier foreman all back to back to back..u're going to have a few collazo's in there...just bc u didnt know eric molina ddint mean he was a bum he's actually a good thinking fighter that can take a punch if u'd seen any of his other fights..there are plenty of names u know that he'd hang with
