There will be I am guessing sometime in the next 2 years someone will stand out and win a couple of the belts.I hate to say it but Wlad looks poised to take over if he can keep putting up performances like he did against Peter and keep getting better at defending himself and keeping himself off the canvas.I will be the first to admit I don't care for Wlad but he seems to be the best out there right now.Toney is very skilled but would make for a very boring Champion because of his lack of punching power as a HW.I thought Brewster was going to be the man but he just leaves himself wide open too much can you imagine a really powerful HW like Peter landing some of the shot Liakhovich Landed on him?He would be dead and the only reason Wlad did not kill him is because Wlad has a weaker chin and was easily taken out of the fight once they started slugging and some would say he was drugged which I disagree with.

Now I know that James can still fight even when tired, but I only seeing him attaining a decision win, if anything over the top HW fighters.

How is he going to win a UD against someone throwing more effective punches than jabs in those later rounds? I'd say Toney either gets TKO'd in later rounds or gasses out and doesn't win a solid decision, therefore losing to a champ (who gets the benefit of a close decision)..

Yeah I was being extremely sarchastic.

          [QUOTE=RunWithKnives]More than likely James Toney.

Because he's always in shape QUOTE]

MMMMM....always???? At 190lbs he dominated Jirov, at 217lbs he looked great against Holyfield....at 237 he looked dog**** against Rahman.
          he's not always in shape.

dont get me wrong, I like Toney's craftmanship and experience... he's a good fighter to watch...
but he just lost a decision to Rahman... maybe he can come in lighter in his next fight or use a different game plan, but honestly, time isn't in his favor and if he only brings what he brought against Rahman.... the odds don't favor him.

if Toney fights a mentally vulerable fighter or one who gets easily frustrated with misses, then Toney's in his element.. but those are big 'ifs'

look james is a good fighter but do you really think he could beat wlad if he fights like he did against rahman. i mean come on he was tired out in round 6. he is a very good tired fighter. but you have to look at the power diffrence. i mean wlad has a weak chin but james would have to get all the way in on him and get a ladder to hit wlad in the chin.

haha i could tell from a mile away...some people, like gunstar for example, apparently cant spot sarcasm

if were looking for someone to unify the division , i honestly think were going to have to wait a while. i mean, wlad hasnt looked great in a few years, but he has the talent.
toney has the skill but is fat,
                  byrd is too old,
rahamn couldnt beat a fat out of shape toney,
brewster seems to have a great heart and chin, but is lazy and takes breaks in fights,
                  valuev just plain sucks,
i havent seen enough of luckiviotch (sorry for the misspell) peter lacks boxing skills,
briggs is getting older and lacks a chin,
brock is content to fight absolutly no one for the rest of his career (it seems)
williams seems to just by scraping by,
Sultan looks good, but he hasnt been fighting great opposition, and plus, hes 31.
i have a feeling were going to be waiting a LONG time before we have the Ali like unified champion

I read somewhere that Toney is considering a rematch with Jirov in HW. Has anybody else heard something about it?
