That's a decent fight, and although I think Herrera is the lineal champ, I still think he needs to face a guy that can punch before really establishes himself as a capable 140 pounder.

Provo, Alvarado, Garcia are/were considered big punchers......what else does the man have to do????

Not if he really beats his ass....people scream out robbery when their is a robbery (Benavidez and Garcia.) both lost to Herrera plain and simple.

What I would give to see Herrera school Garcia again. Seriously that first fight was an easy 116-112 for Herrera. Herrera is my opinion the top guy at 140 at the moment and he gives any fighter at 140 and fighters like Crawford that have recently moved up trouble.

Of course it will be the Benavidez judges, Top Rank are not about to sacrifice their new "star" at the altar of Mauricio Herrera.

Still, Herrera should probably take this fight because the probable alternative is Matthysse, which would be infinitely more physically damaging.
