he was injured in camp. i think all that leg cramps/getting beat up/need rest rumors was cover up for the injury when he stopped/missed sparring.

i don't know how serious it was may 2 though. he looked fine. arm/shoulderwise.

Floyd never lost so he wouldn't need any excuses for why he lost or put up a lacklusting performance and claim he won or how his opponent pulled his arm down and hurted an old injury intentionally.

Whoa their Nelly. Im NOT dis*****g Mannys loss. Ive never said Manny won nor do i think he did win. I know it was close but i still think Floyd edged it out. Floyd didnt do anything spectacular but hug and run. He did have the lowest connect % iv his entire career for a reason. Manny did as well. That says a lot. It would help if you actually watched the fight.

... the actual fight was a disgrace as correlated with the initial hype...
... so: no interest in this thread...

I did. I had it 9-3 like 2 of the judges. The same 9-3 score you said meant Floyd blew out Cotto and therefore there was no need for a rematch.

Yet when Manny loses 9-3 its close and requires a rematch.

Floyd didn't have to do anything spectacular to beat Manny because Manny wasn't good enough to make him.

At least you are not as clueless as MisanthropicNY, Spoon23, ADOP2, and some others.

                even worst.

he used the same excuse for a win.

Cotto wasnt injured or needed surgery after the fight. If you did believe this you would be thinking different. You just choose to believe other wise.

I had the fight way closer. Honestly the fight ****** so bad that i actually got up and walked away from the TV shaking my head. Which i never do during a fight. The holding and running and Manny not letting his hands go just screamed "The Fix is in". Until i found out the reason Manny wasnt throwing and why he did bail on sparring. It all made sense.

Sadly even with an injury and a ugly as boring fight it appeared close. Both fighters ******. the fight ******. the money they made for the fight they gave was highway robbery. For many reasons the fight should happen again but for the most part it should due to the fact that the fans got robbed. Floyds fighting a unknown opponent on free tv why not Manny?

LOL @ posters on here agreeing with casual fans that the fight was a disaster... the fight was a chess match that Manny just did a better job at landing in than Floyd...

LOL @ so-called boxing fans taking the position of mainstream casual fans saying the fight was boring...

You expected what? Gatti v. Ward?

Floyd's boring style made him lose the fight...it didn't make the fight less interesting though...

That's the spin..instead of admitting that Floyd lost because he did nothing of significance in the fight..they just blame the fight being boring..NO, Floyd just didn't do anything so he didn't deserve to win...Floyd shouldn't get the benefit of the doubt..the burden is not solely on his opponent to create action...
