I want to see Briggs in there against Peter or Brock.

No one is ready to face him, he challenged Tua, and David Tua backed down, He challenged Koval 2 times before and that did'nt happen but now it has, he beat Ray Mercer and ****y Ryan recently, hes on a 11 KO streak, i think if he continues he will be one of the only hopes in the divisionComment

end of next year, briggs should have one of the 4 major belt around his fat ass. he weighted 269lbs last fight. he should go back down to 230~40ish, then he will do some damage in the division. i don't see anyone in top 10 in the division could beat him, except for Wlad. i hope he gets back in shape and clean out the division.Comment

He looks better now then he did earlier...Perhaps some of the extra weight lets him out muscle these other guys....
On a side note, Tua would be a walk in the park for Briggs.Comment

briggs has been calling out peter for forever now, and would jump at any shot to fight a big contenderOriginally posted by ejk22How about Briggs facing someone who is alive rather than a walking stiff. Pretty good concept don't you think?Comment

I have a little tidbit for all of you who think Briggs is the second coming. Here is a little excerpt from an article I read. Enjoy the quote!!

First, I like the fact that Briggs is keeping busy and fighting often.(5 times in 2005; 2 times in 2006)
Secondly, I think that he has decent boxing skills, a hard punch, and is somewhat charasmatic. contenders like himself are good for the division and add to the much needed talent pool.(Not too many fighters can bost about a win over George Foreman)
However having said all that, I agree with most the posters on this thread about Briggs fighting opponents who don't have that great a chance of winning against him and are pretty safe. If Shannon wants to step up and hopefully contend for a title shot, he should step up his competition, and fight someone like
Danny Williams, Matt Skelton, Jameel Mccline, Calvin Brock, John Ruiz, etc. In other words, an opponent who is dangerous and wants to get a title shot as bad as himself.Comment
