    asking for catchweight...

    for example
    rigo asking for 124 and rehydration limit..
    doesnt that automatically mean "i dont stand a chance without these conditions".. how can they so shamelessly ask for handicaps. i will never understand lol

    yes basically they're asking for handicaps

    but 99.99% of the people who watch the fight never hear about it, only people on 2-3 internet forums, so the risk isn't that great

    I think catchweights are very rarely justifiable when you have two head and shoulders elite guys with a big weight gap between them but fighting over 2-4 lbs as is the new norm is just depressing

      It's asking for an advantage, simple. It's an admission that I either don't think I can beat you at all at the weight and with the circumstances that you typically fight under or I think it's much easier to not even attempt it, so I'm asking for an advantage.

      I think it's a more extreme case, but I wonder how much different it is from asking for certain other things such as type of gloves and ring size.
