Interesting match...

Spence would at least gain a much higher level experience with Algeri as an opponent.... Victory would help justify his hype and perhaps expedite his rise to the top notch competition he's barking at... Spence would likely be the betting favorite in this matchup...

Algeri has come a long way in my opinion. I didn't think he was ready for Provodnikov... That fight was about 4 or 5 fights too soon...
He was very fortunate to win that fight, but after that he stepped in with more of the big dogs... I think he's only now in the next year coming into his potential....

With that said, beating Spence would put him right back into the picture..

A victoy for Algeri would be something like a combination between Bobby Czyz vs Andrew Maynard and a "Fearless" Freddie Pendleton... But Czyz was much more accomplished when he took out a super hyped Maynard... And Pendleton was 14-13 when he Knocked out Roger Mayweather or when he had like 17 losses when he beat Spann to win the IBF title back in the day. He faught way too difficult competition before he was ready.

So this fight would be nice, either way you look at it.
