So I was thinking who had better resumes than Froch in the span of 2008 through 2015? IMO, these are the top 5 best resumes/wins of 2008 through 2015.
1. Floyd Mayweather - Pacquiao, Maidana 2x, Canelo, Guerrero, Cotto, Ortiz, Mosley, Marquez. 9-0
2. Manny Pacquiao - Mayweather, Algieri, Bradley 2x, Rios, Marquez 3x, Mosley, Margarito, Clottey, Cotto, Hatton, De La Hoya. 10-2
3. Carl Froch - Groves 2x, Kessler 2x, Mack, Bute, Ward, Johnson, Abraham, Dirrell, Taylor, Pascal - 10-2
4. Bernard Hopkins - Kovalev, Shumenov, Murat, Cloud, Dawson 2x, Pascal 2x, Jones, Ornelas, Pavlik, Calzaghe. - 7-3-1Draw -1 NC (43-49 years old during this span - Became 175 Ring Champ for second time of his career)
5. Wladimir Klitschko - Jennings, Pulev, Leapai, Povetkin, Pianeta, Wach, Thompson 2x, Mormeck, Haye, Peter, Chambers, Chagaev, Rahman, Ibragimov. 15-0
5. (Tied) Miguel Cotto.
Do you agree with this list? I thought of Cotto at #5, but then realized Wlad's resume is slightly more impressive, I think they are a tie. At the same time, Wlad was never underdog in his 15-0 span; whether it's because of Wlad's dominance or Wlad's lack of good competition would depend on the viewer. Cotto was underdog 3 times (Pacquiao, Mayweather, Martinez), Cotto also lost fights he was favored to win (Margarito I, Trout). From 2008-2015 Cotto racked up 4 losses, 2 by KO's. Wlad went 15-0 with 8KO's, knocked down not even once, barely lost any rounds.
