Comments Thread For: Andre Dirrell Eyes Froch/DeGale, Picks Groves Over Jack

Tampa, Florida - Andre Dirrell (24-2, 16 KO’s) suffered his second loss of his career this past May when he lost to James Degale in a fight for the vacant IBF super middleweight title. Instead of thinking negatively on the loss, Dirrell see it as an opportunity to avenge another loss.

Andre's a big SMW who could easily move up to LHW, why doesn't he go after Stevenson?

Not going to happen. Dirrell is a great boxer, sure, but he brings nothing to the table.

Froch has made it clear that hes 1 foot out the door looking for one last major pay cheque, Andre is never getting that rematch so he may as well quit begging for it....
And Degale beat him soundly so an immediate rematch there makes little sense either. Time to go to 175.

SMW is the most evenly matched talented division in the sport. It has the best fights bar none.

            Jack
            Dirrell bros
            Groves
            Froch
            Ward
Even Arthur Abraham has been putting in major work winning and grinning.

I like his attitude but I think he's going to end up disappointed if they're the only two in his vision.

Yeah, he needs to be realistic and get a couple wins under his belt so he can earn another shot at a title

No he's not. He was a very highly touted and promising challenger, but he was never a great boxer. He never managed to move from A to A+ and he's fading compared to before his hiatus.
