Thurman is ready for Pacquiao, Khan, Maidana, or Porter, but not Floyd. The only fighters I believe could beat Floyd are GGG and Lara @ 154. I don't see any WWs that can beat Floyd. After Thurman's performance, I believe (I hate to admit it) Khan is the best option. Khan has fought more Top 10 opponents, has a bigger following, and will be a bigger draw. Thurman should target Porter or Maidana next.

Yep, but that is pretty obvious really, no welter can beat Mayweather.

And good point about Khan, he could get that fight unfortunately.

I also agree with you about Lara/Golovkin at 154 being the only challenge.

Because of limited options and nothing at welter, if you had asked me a couple of days ago who Mayweather was going to select for September, I would have said Cotto for the lineal MW title..... but now that we hear Canelo/Cotto is nearly finalised, Mayweather could end up selecting Khan.

I prefer, in order.....
Lara at 154 (the most challenging)
Cotto at 154 (the best fight, but fcuk the MW title, Cotto should drop it)
Golovkin at 154
Khan at 147

I think Cotto is the best payday for Mayweather, but if Cotto/Canelo is in the works, then it looks like Mayweather will likely select Khan.

Just fight when you get the chance. No more dancing and prancing around trying to disguise siisy fighting as "defensive mastery" like Mayweather. It's killing boxing. Just fight!!!!! Watch the UFC from last night. That's what boxing is being compared to and there is more action in the introductions than in the last 10 Mayweather fights. JUST FIGHT!!! The era of celebrating cowardice and non committal fighting as defensive mastery is over. It's just a gimmick to avoid an actual fight. Be the new breed! An "0" means nothing if you never put it on the line( like Mayweather)

Yea wtf? Dont know about killed, but I am not at all convinced that Thurman would beat Khan.

I'm glad to read that Keith 'Run Time" Thurman's stock is finally going down. He's a dancing counter puncher with power, but not as much as you think for someone with his KO%. Frankly, he's a boring fighter who has been protected, which naturally leads to questions about his durability as evidenced - once again - last night. Personally, I'd like to see him fight someone fast enough to keep up with his running. Kahn or the pillow fisted Chris Algeri would be fine. Or even Lara for an epic night of running. If he happens to fight another shop worn, tomato can in his mid 30's that is too slow to keep up with him I'm not even going to bother watching - I'm tired of this crap.
